What brings you peace?

What brings you peace?

Birds singing in the morning bring me peace. I love sitting with my coffee and listen to them. It’s the best meditation possible.

Sharing meals with good friends brings me peace. It is so important to have good friends. I was blessed with great friends in all places where I had the privilege to live: Russia, Belgium, The United Kingdom and The Netherlands.

Being among the loved ones. My parents visiting me brings peace. My son, my cat. They make happy.

Sunshine and looking at the sea, while I am on holidays. I sit at a cafe overlooking the sea and it’s the best feeling in the world.

Loving my job brings me peace. I worked hard to be where I am in terms of my work, and it brings me peace.

Reading a good book, brings me peace.

Listening to the rain when inside the home, is so peaceful and relaxing!

Simple things really that make our life so beautiful and worthwhile, they bring peace.

About Me

I am a doctor of philosophy, a university lecturer, and a lover of cats, fine wine, dancing, theatre, and human eccentricity. I was born in the Soviet Union (Moscow). I am fluent in four languages, and have spent all my adult life studying (except from 18 to 19) working and living throughout Western Europe. Despite a surname-Netchitailova- that translates from Russian into English as “unreadable”, my greatest passions in life are reading and writing. My personal struggles have made me appreciate the manifestations of weirdness that exist everywhere.
